How to use this calculator

  1. Pick the start date and choose Add or Subtract.
  2. Enter the number of business days.
  3. Choose your weekly off days.
  4. Optionally list holidays to skip, then read the date.

The formula

Starting from the start date, move one day at a time. Skip every weekly off day and every listed holiday. Count each remaining day until you reach the number of business days.

Worked example

Ten business days after Monday, 2 November 2026 with Saturday and Sunday off lands on Monday, 16 November 2026. If 9 November is a holiday, the result moves to Tuesday, 17 November.

Understanding your result

The start day is not counted. Day one is the next business day. This follows how most delivery and notice periods are counted, but check your contract.

When to use it

  • Find a delivery, refund or payment due date.
  • Work out SLA and response deadlines.
  • Count notice periods in business days.

Assumptions and limits

The tool does not know public holidays, so list them yourself. Dates must be in YYYY-MM-DD format.
