The formula

Next birthday = the next date on or after today that matches the birth month and day. Days left = Next birthday − Today. Age turned = Year of next birthday − Year of birth.

Worked example

Born on 15 June 1995, counting from 2 November 2026, the next birthday is 15 June 2027, a Tuesday. That is 225 days away, which is 32 weeks and 1 day, and the person turns 32.

Understanding your result

If today is your birthday the result says so and the countdown shows zero. A 29 February birthday is celebrated on 1 March in years that are not leap years. The bar shows how far through the year-long wait you are.

Assumptions and limits
